The Marlin gloves are the best I’ve used in NorCal . There is no Velcro wrist strap, so they are easy to put on and remove for kayak paddling or whatever requires bare hands. They have a Kevlar palm and fingers to protect against rockfish spines and they hold up great to scallop hunting. The neoprene is warm but thin and very supple making them the most comfortable glove I’ve worn for holding onto a speargun handle for hours. The weak part is the stitching between the neoprene and Kevlar but I still get a few years out of them before I have restitched the busted seams.
